Large Format Flatbed
The Kartoscan FB is a series of extremely accurate large format Flatbed scanners which are used for most types of maps and drawings. These scanners are user friendly, drawings are easy to handle, and the upright design provides an ideal working position for the operator.
Status IT develops and markets two models; FB VLS and FB IV. Both models offer a range of unique features to maximise your scanning productivity and ensure excellent results. Autonaming and Raster Orientation are examples of functionality that will increase the total productivity, together the Tandem Scanning a simultaneous scan of one original while mounting another.
Both models have a true optical resolution from 500dpi to 1200dpi and a resample / interpolation function from 250 to 2400dpi. However, when you want to reproduce the finest details in a map or drawing, the only method is to scan the original with the highest possible true optical resolution. Interpolation is after all only a manipulation of the already produced digital data.
